1. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to every Shopify app published by Multiny (each, an "App"), as well as to https://multiny.com and any related support channels. Because we build and maintain more than one App, this Policy is written to cover our apps collectively — where a specific App handles information differently, that App's listing page or in-app settings will say so.

By installing an App, using our website, or otherwise interacting with us, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways:

• Store data from Shopify — When a merchant installs an App, Shopify grants us access to certain store information through its APIs (for example: shop details, products, orders, inventory, discounts, theme, or customer records) strictly to the extent each App needs it to function.
• Account and contact information — Information a merchant gives us directly, such as name, email address, and store URL, when installing an App, contacting support, or signing up for updates.
• Usage and technical data — Log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) and app-configuration data generated while an App is used, collected automatically to operate, secure, and improve our Apps and website.

We do not collect payment card details. Any in-app purchase, subscription, or usage-based billing is processed entirely by Shopify's own billing system, and we never see or store cardholder data.

3. Customer Data on Merchant Stores

Some Apps may need to read or display information about a merchant's customers (for example, order counts or reviews) solely to provide their features. This customer data remains Shopify's and the merchant's — we do not sell it, use it for our own marketing, build profiles from it, or retain it beyond what an App needs to function.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the features of each App.
• Set up, configure, and personalize an App based on a merchant’s settings.
• Communicate with merchants about their account, support requests, or important App updates.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve performance, reliability, and security.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms of service.

We do not use store or customer information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing and improving our Apps.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website (https://multiny.com) may use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, understand aggregate usage, and improve the site. These do not collect personally identifying information beyond what a visitor provides directly. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings.

6. Data Storage and Retention

We store only the data required to operate our Apps and support merchants — primarily account details and app-configuration settings. Data is retained for as long as an App remains installed and for a reasonable period afterward to allow reinstallation, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent merchant or customer information. We may share information only with:

• Trusted service providers (such as hosting, infrastructure, and analytics providers) who process data on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations, and solely to help us operate our Apps.
• Shopify, as required for an App to function within the Shopify platform.
• Authorities or third parties, where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Multiny, our merchants, or others.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures — including encrypted connections and access controls — to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Data Transfers

Our Apps and infrastructure may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our Apps and website are intended for business use by merchants and are not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or request deletion of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

12. Uninstalling an App

Merchants may uninstall any App at any time from their Shopify admin. Once uninstalled, the App loses access to the store's data going forward. Shopify may retain certain uninstall-related data for a limited period under its own policies; merchants may also contact us directly to request deletion of app-configuration data we hold, where applicable.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as we add new Apps or as our practices evolve. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date, and material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
